Sorry I should have been more clear.
I always work with the multi-tool.... if you hold command and grabber, you can drag in slip. Command and trim will trim in slip. Also Command and fade portion of the super tool will also fade in slip mode.
Another nice one is control+trim will allow you to trim out a region up to the next one without overlapping it...
