If the same note continues to play it's probably just a J-wire stuck under the buss bar. Depending on the model it may have a plastic cover on the bottom of the unit that exposes the buss bars. Take off the cover and you would be able to see if a J-wire is stuck under the bar - gently bend it sidewyas until it clears the bar. I belieive on the older (I and II) you need to remove the screws on the side of the keyboard and hinge the whole thing up to access the buss bars. I've owned all 3 at one time and can't remember which one worked which way.

If that's not the problem there are a couple other things to check.

Toggle all the ADSR/AR switches a few times to make sure they aren't hung-up.
Same withe the Repeat and Gate switches.
Make sure the VCA Gain is turned down.
I also seem to remember there was a transistor (or something similar) that controlled the gate voltage for ADSR. It's possible it fried shut.

I don't think it involves the S&H, but I could be wrong.
