never heard of the suspension method..........any insights, do i just have to put another (bigger) bassdrum in front of the one i am playing and mic it too?

It's really pretty Ghetto Alexi. Just take any big wide open kik and butt it up to the kik your playing. should have full front head, no hole... tune it to a cool pitch, and feed a mic in... dosent' really matter just experiment that's what I do. The beta 91 was handy and tiny.
