Minimonsta does the job very well and its not ultra-limited like the original Minimoog...Personally i would use it everyday over a hardware Mini without worries about the more "balls" of the original...The point is more inside the production and not so at the individual instruments.
edit:having a simple physical interface like that of a Minimoog helps very much, but..you can always get a high end midi controller for much less money...
