thanks for the advice.
have done most of what you have suggested.
with the r30 insulation i have in the ceiling...it has a paper backing so when it put it up in the ceiling i left the paper backing on an let the paper backed side facing the floor as it was easier to install that way.
is this ok?
there is about a 4" to 6" in air gap between the insulation and the real ceiling. is this ok as well? if i removed one layer i could have maybe a 16" air gap or i could add one more layer toget more material up there.
any thoughts?
