So the limiter *could* be used on a whole mix? I have a relatively light and 'squashy' tune with a nice dynamic. I mixed it at very low volumes, so I have plenty of headroom... It's a soft and warm song, maybe the limiter would be nice to squash it just a tad?
Also, I use the Sonalksis EQ, Compressor and Gate (Essentials Pack) but I was told recently that the EQ can mess with the bottom quite a bit. Is it worth using the Abbey mastering EQ instead for this type of thing? Is the abbey stuff generally (in all your opinions) good on energy heavy stuff like bass?
