To check the phase flip just put in front of a kickdrum, facing it with it's front, then record and look at the waveform. The initial wave should be going up.
If you wanna be 100% sure take annother, "known good" mic (one you know is phase correct) and place both side by side, record and compare the waveforms.
If your RB has that phase flip you can either flip the phase everytime needed or (what I would do) remove the XLR plug housing, remove the cables from pins 2 and 3 and resolder them the other way round.
If the XLR plug is not easy to disasemble, cut it off, get a new one and solder it to the cable (this time not the chinese way).
