Only have the MOTU right now, so can not tell you about the converters, as we have not upgraded yet. But overall it gets the job done. A local musician had his CD mastered by a professional who worked with bands you would know and paid him $$$$$, and he was not happy. Brought it to my son and paid him $ for his work and he left happy! So I think if you know what you are doing it fits the bill. As to upgrading the converters and pre we plan on doing it soon and appreciate the info we get here on GS!
