a DP friend of mine - who does bigger hollywood stuff - for Disney, etc.
was saying the same thing about the pleasing quality of the actual visual content.
i think it was shot in 16mm (??)...the clips i've seen have a nice grainy, warmly-lit quality to them...
i'm not a film guy, though...
