I have the MOTU Ultralite and it runs perfectly with Logic Studio, which is why we bought it. It just never messes up drivers are rock solid. It sounds adequate. A better sounding unit is the Apogee Duet, which is pretty well known on this board to have a very clean mic pre, and for the $$$ best converters around. You however must deal with the break out wiring. You can run a high end pre through it also if you like. We chose the MOTU knowing we were buying it for the driver reliability and the I/O. The MOTU does have the S/PDIF inputs so you can add better converters when you are able, and you can also bypass the pre if you buy a nice one.
