A friend of mine is recording 3 three songs to his solo project. And he is using the profire. I have FF400 myself. And based on my friend's comments and the few sessions I have done for him with it. I must say it's one of the best deals in interfaces right now. You get 8 preamps with pads. ADAT. And the drivers seem solid. Both for mac and pc.
But in the other hand I have no experience with the Motu.
