Hi folks,

I am looking for guidance with mic'ing a Koto soloist. Have not recorded this instrument before and most often I have seen them mic'ed with a single spot.
My instinct is to try a pair of spaced omnis or an ORTF pair to cover the instrument as it is quite large, but not sure about where the centre of the sound source would be on this instrument.

Ivo, I know you have some experience here but after searching couldnt find what your micing techniques were.
