Just wanted to update. Yes, the mic turned out to be a great score. It only cost $60 to get it working like new, so I only have $95 in it and it's mint condition and would probably fetch around $300. Only "problem" is I think I love this mic, so it's not going anywhere.
But actually, in my opinion, the best score turned out to be the Ramsa WR-S4416 mixer. I took it apart and gave everything a good cleaning. It's now fully functional and this thing sounds like butter (which I kind of expected) and is extremely low noise (which I DIDN'T expect). It's just what I needed to warm up the hard, cold digital sound of my HD24. I don't use the mic pre's (Great River and John Hardy take care of those duties), but for monitoring during tracking and playback this thing turned out to be the best $57 I ever spent. I have an Onyx 1620 that has been parked in it's case since I got the Ramsa. I haven't done any final mixes yet and I have read some not so good comments about the eq on the Ramsa (an area where the Onyx excels), so the jury is still out. But for monitoring during the tracking stage, the sound of this thing just kicks ass.
