I'm about to buy a couple of SCA unassembled pres (A12, 2xC84) and searching through this forums I haven't been able to find ANYTHING bad about them which worries me

. These pres can't be perfect! tell me some disadvantages please ...

I know the A12 is not API, if I wanted exactly that sound I would buy API. I just want high-quality pres with some color. Would you consider SCA pres low end or high end? API-quality? (ok, their sound is not the same, but does it have similar QUALITY?)
