Red square is a clip indicator. It means that when stretching the track, the level has gone up and clipped. Best way around this is to gain your track destructively so it's no higher than -3/-4/-5 db then apply elastic audio.

I think the indicators are quite clever and a great idea on Digi's behalf.

sorry but i'm a new protools user, how can i do that considering i have the track with elastic audio active, so i can't export and reimport without losing what i've done with elastic audio.

protools has an internal sample editor?
