I had a great day to be a slut today!
I found a really cool shop in the live music area of my town. It has sweet 50's and 60's furniture and last but not least a wicked collection of microphones. They are mostly
old crazy broadcast microphones and super rare vintage mics (bakelite, prototype ribbons,
crazy stuff). So i got to talking to him about recording and my interest in music and creativity. We got to talking also about Alt-country (wilco, uncle tupelo, the old 97's). I am 15 (yes that is young) but i believe i can defeat more than a few people here at enginerring and my age does not display my recording ability. We started going through a few boxes of mics he has. I pulled out 2 Sennheiser 403's and i started getting happy. he was like 'oh ya those, they need work im not quite sure yet what". bummer. but then i pulled out 2 Shure unidynes and then a little Grundig box. He was like "keep the Grundigs a friend just gave them to me. I want to spread the creativity." I am very happy and quite excited to try these guys out on guitar cab once i change the DIN connectors. i plan on going back and buying his unidynes and a few electrovoice pieces he has. I love meeting kind people when you really start losing faith
