We need more women in all the tech industries.

Audio is a part time/hobby/for fun thing for me. I'm an EE for the day job and have worked with a few really good EE/ME women over the years. Just not enough of them.

There are differences between men in women; I used to work for a company making lawn care equipment. Having a woman in the engineering group was priceless. The differences in body shape affected how the product would go together; where to place the hands, center of gravity, weight, vibration, etc. During testing she always had comments as to changes that helped make the products successful. Men aren't the only ones doing lawn care.

I also worked in the fitness industry and the same applied there.

Sometimes having a different perspective from "us guys" counts.
