I dislike the sound of Akoustik Piano. If Kontakt 3 is similar I say avoid it. In general I don't like the NI too much although some Reaktor synths sound pretty good. But overall NI's got this full sound that sounds too compressed or something to me. Not a lot of room to breath. And FM8 and FS1R sound is night and day. I have Reaktor, AP, FM8, and Battery 3 and I hardly use any of them. To put it bluntly, my hardware sounds better. That said, if you think you'll use 3 or 4 of these NI things, then buying Komplete at this price makes sense. I hear the Guitar thing is pretty good. Too bad Spektral Delay or any other effects are not included. The effects are an area where my hardware can not kompete.
Some day (when I have a new PC), I'll buy a total NI package along with whatever iteration of Kore is happening but it won't be today. That's the other thing--you had better have a killer computer to run all of this. Just because it's cheap it doesn't mean you have to have it. Quite the opposite actually.
