Come to think of it in that list I would say Maroon 5 are the only band that recently - ish got kinda big.

I can't think of a band from LA that has come out in the last 2 years that has made a big impact. But I am tired and might be forgetting someone.

The only reason why most bands come out of LA is from all the Record companies, Promoters, agents etc and the whole glam that goes with Hollywood etc. I'd imagine most of them are not even from LA but moved there for those very reasons.

Don't get me wrong I'm not knocking it all but for people that say LA is the best, well that's just because that's where the best go to make it. Talent is everywhere.
very very true...i agree with most of that...
to me, if a german band goes to LA to record their album, then that album is an LA album....alot of people from all over just go to LA to record. this adds to LA's history.

yes talent is everywhere and from everywhere. But the odds are higher to find talent going about their business in LA...

pussy cat dolls!
