If you have seen my posts, you can definitely conclude that the microphone sounds wonderful, but you need to complement it with a decent preamp as well. I tried it with both Art Digital MPA (w telefunken/mullard) and SSL Alpha Channel and the SSL made a big difference. I think the K2 matched with the SSL pre is a winner, but it doesn't sound too bad with the Digital MPA either.
