The OP never asked if saturation plug-ins could replace having good mics or being a decent engineer... never said he wanted a magic bullet or snake oil. He didn't even say he wanted specifically
tape saturation. All he asked was if you played around with a saturation plug-in, and did you like it? But thanks for the essay on your opinions anyway. Everyone has 'em. And if you're tired of repeating your's, then please don't feel like you have to.
Oh, yeah... and did I mention?... I'm tired of posters whose input to a thread is berating the OP that they should've used the search function. Use the search function... you'll find that it's already been done many times before.
And to be on topic... I like URS and SPL saturation plugs.
