It is agood point after I demod the fairchild emulation of the JJP bundle again, at a friends place , I have to say.... not bad not bad ....
It has some nice saturation even if the compressor is not working hard.
This example shows me there is something going on in the next few years.
If they get it to sound more 3D as well .... we are there.
I guess the problem at the moment is that you would need endless IRs for every situation how HW could react.
They have not found a way yet to for this but I am sure they will find a new method that will do the trick.
BK mentiond on the "mastering forum" that with clean plug ins (like the waves ssl) they are very near to it.
For me I save in the meantime all my money for HW and just WAIT.
I am sure they can get so close that we will see a huge price drop in HW....
What would be areason to buy some HW as well!!!
