| If you don't hear any difference, then it's probably working normally. I've never had a regular power conditioner that did anything but stop surges during bad storms. Basicaly a glorified surge supressor. Even the $250 ones with the pull-out lights didn't do anything for me.
The only time I noticed anything is when I bought a $1,000 Furman balanced power unit. It still doesn't kill all the noise but helped a lot with the noise floor/white noise in general. I'd love to get an online UPS but the subject requires much research on my part and I just don't have the patience right now. |
