MOTU Firewire PC implementation just sux. I have gone through several units on several different PCs over the years bcuz I wanted them to work, but they just wouldn't. I was a PC tech for years and know my way around a PC.
I did all the extensive and complicated work arounds that tech support suggested - like gathering mushrooms at midnight under a full moon, doing a full reboot, powering on the unit, rubbing dog feces on my left buttock while dancing a little jig on one foot, opening regedit, rubbing my nose three times, going to currentcontrolset, and whcking off to a picture of a unicorn! It never worked.
