Hello Lorenzo,
I usually use my buss compressor with a 1.5 ratio, attack at 30 or 10 ms, and fast release, HPF set at 130 or 90 Hz. no more that 2 dB of reduction.
Very light compression, just to tighten up things a bit.
Compressor is a modified Chamelon Labs 7720
