I use a Yamaha HS-740. It's sturdy and tough enough for all but the most abusive players and has a quite beautiful feel. It also fits the 1960s Avedis Zildjian hats I use which is essential as the holes are smaller than now. It's a nice price and easy to carry but if money isn't too much of an issue also have a look at the nicer DW Hats.
I haven't been impressed with Tama Hi-Hats. Find them to be a bit bullish and mechanical in their feel. Perhaps with heavier music this would be ok bur I prefer the sensitive feel of the Yamaha and DW alternatives.
