Allpass filters in a tank result in an echo density that builds with time, as found in real 3-dimensional acoustic spaces, as well as 2-dimensional spaces such as plates. Allpass filters in series before the reverb tank will result in an increased initial echo density, but no build of density as the reverb decays.
