Hi Everybody,
I don't want to make anyone mad here, but according to Peluso's site the 2247SE does not have a glass tube. It has the American steel tube equivalent of the Telefunken VF14/EF14. It has the same tube as my Pearlman TM-1 the 5693 which is part of the 6AC7 family, which also includes the 6SJ7.
Both The 5693 and the 6SJ7 are steel can tubes. I have both. Before posting this I jumped on Peluso's site to make sure I wasn't talking through my hat. Now unless Mr. Peluso has changed the listed 5693 tube to a glass one and hasn't changed the specs for that mic on his website then I stand corrected and will go crawl off into a dark corner and hide before the wailing and nashing of teeth begins.
