iTINY already gave you the right answer - No. I have seen this recommended a few times, but it makes no sense. Yes, you won't hear low bass problems anymore, but you won't hear any low bass either. So foot steps and other rumbling type noises that should be high-passed out when mixing will end up in the track because you couldn't hear them. All in all it's a bad idea, along the lines of cutting off your nose to spite your face.
