| 1st bounce - (please help), opinions sought - Rock +punk... constructive feedback and critiques much appreciated.
some background:
this is the 1st bounce after tracking Vocals.
3 pce band recorded live in a shoebox. (okay a rehearsal room, approx 18'x12x8. eiew i know)
guitar cab was in a seperate room (similar size/shape) both rooms without treatment.
myself and the bass cab were in the same room as the drums, iso'd the cab as much as realistically possible.
Vox were later overdubbed at home, in a blanket-"booth"
gear used:
003r,
ADA8000 (now replaced, can't wait to put my asp008AES to work now),
imac - (ITB)
my own selection of mid level mics (D6, sm57, 904s, ck91s, Beta52, NT3, 906, NTK etc)
some thing's i've found impressive, but others are erking me a little...
i think i may be fighting a few things to do with the bass - i've notched out the low freq where the kick bleeds, but it may be to drastic?
This is my first post in this forum and all advise will be much appreciated.
thanks!!
Ben
