LE is a tiny bit noisier but top end is smoother. Mid bass more focused. They both work well on vocal but I find that I eq less with the LE.
I find the 147 a bit thin compare to the Peluso.Just my opibnion

Slightly incorrect;
both the 47 SE and the 47 LE have a steel tube. LE = German version of the tube. The SE has the American 5693 steel tube. I love my SE.
