What you and many others seem to forget is that there is no physical theft, the inventory is infinite, unlimited, never ever ends as long as someone has a file that can be copied ad eternum. That argument has to be the most heard in this forums, and is COMPLETELY wrong, IMHO.
That's why I defend that the industry has to evolve and provide the CUSTOMERS with the easyest way to access music. People are already used to get it for free, at the distance of a click. The industry just has to find a way (and there are many) to try and capitalize from that. Will they earn as much money as they used to? Probably not, but they shoud have taken action many years ago, instead of trying to stop progress. I sincerely believe that when napster appeared, if the industry tried to find a way to make money out of it, the industry would be very different today.
