I'm very frustrated! I have an older 23" acrylic apple cinema display and a 1st gen. g5. I need to extend the monitor. I bought a DVI extension cable for it. Then this is when I realized that the old monitor has an rounded DVI connector. I can't find an adapter for this. This is f**kin insane!!! If I buy a new mac I can't even use the old monitor?? I payed $2k for the monitor years back and there is nothing wrong with the monitor. Why isn't there an adaptor for this? BELKIN make an adaptor for the older towers to the newer square DVI but no one makes a Female rounded DVI to Male Square DVI.
Is there anyone who can help me with this? It started as needing an extention cable to relizing that when I get a new Mac I can't even use the monitor anymore.
Is there anyone who makes the right adapter??
