I'm in the web 2.0 business myself. I don't see it as a crappy thing. Crap is used here to describe all the other web 2.0 things that are out there. Bunch could be used, services could be used. Maybe not a good wordchoice.

But, one thing: it's not the web 2.0 that will save the industry. It's the insight into these tools and the proper usage of them that can save the industry. It's the general misconception for a lot of marketeers that if they post some youtube video's, start a blog, make a facebook profile that everything will benefit from it and that their goals are met. Making the facebook account doesn't do anything at all. It's the active participation on the medium and the connection with the tribe that does it.

I should have added "major" labels. It are indeed the small labels that stick with niche's that do these kind of things. But there you are already, a niche is generally the subject of a tribe.
