On the Profire 2626, there's an issue with the pot taper, at least there is for me. I only record solo acoustic guitar, and the useful gain adjustment is all in the last 1/16th of the pot travel. It's a pain.
The rest of the system is pretty darned sweet, and my issue may not impact you if you record loud sources.
