Probably want a section on cloning/imaging your PC. Norton Ghost vs some of the freeware Linux based Live CD's (see System Rescue CD). If I do break something - I'm not likely to waste time fixing it. I'll just start from a fresh image.

I think a discussion on setting up a directory tree would be nice. Maybe I'm the only one who is picky about where my temp files, temporary mixdowns, session folders, samples, etc are stored. How about system partition schemes? Someone already mentioned backup.

How about RAID? Real RAID vs fake RAID (software). Is it worth my time? Etc. When discussing such a topic, I think it would be best NOT to go into detail about each option, but discuss how it applies to a DAW. Basically give a link to an outside resource (wikipedia or something) that provide the basic definitions and descriptions of RAID and then when the person comes back with an understanding of the topic, the discussion can skip basics and get right to the point.

How about utilities for non-audio/daw stuff? Applications many of us take for granted (7-Zip, wget, notepad++, etc). Every now and then someone will ask in the fourms about transferring files over the web (ftp vs email vs rapidshare, etc). Lets discuss those topics and have a way for the community to vote for "the best x". If anyone ever reads the website Lifehacker...I'm talking about something similar to their Hive Five features

I'd like to see a smaller "fact vs fiction" section to kill some of the misconceptions of pc's (...and macs I guess).
