LA inspires me , so my family is moving there this summer.
I lived in NYC for 12 years and it was inspiring too.
What kind of stuff are you doing? Need hooking up in the DJ community? People to play and track your stuff?

Heya, Memphis, thanks for the support! Inspiration goes a long way towards motivation :-)
Like many people these days, I wear a lot of hats. Most of my work lately has come from producing (and recording) records and mixing but I have composed a good bit of music for TV as well. Extra mailbox money rocks! I play drums and enough keys, bass, and guitar to pull off certain types of records but will definitely need a new rolodex of locals who specialize in specific styles or instruments (string players, jazz guitar guys, horns, etc.).
As for what I'm doing...I've done a LOT of acoustic, rock, and pop records but also have a love for electronic music and the boundaries it can push, both creating it and mixing it. I'm very into hybrids of acoustic, electric, and electronic music.
I recently mixed a hip hop record with some big names on Warner and that was great! Everyone seemed hyped about those mixes so I'm definitely open to more of that! It was fun and, dare I say, highly profitable? :-)
Anyway, any contacts of good people in the bay area are definitely much appreciated!
