I've been using the avalon 747 for a couple of years.. Great piece of gear on certain things.
1) Master compression, if you don't hit to hard
2) acoustic guitars
On master the tube signal path adds a sweet low midrange and a little tube grit.
It has the sidechain that works good if you want low frequency not to affect the compression
Not that versatile, but good for fe in what I mentioned
