Micing up the far away drum room, Can I do it?

Micing up the far away drum room, Can I do it? : Well I know I can do it but I have a question as to how the long cable runs might/might not affect the sound. I have a snake that runs 40 feet into my tracking rom with 24 inputs. I have another snake that is 50 feet long with 12 inputs. I want to run this snake up stairs to my living room with the high vaulted ceilings, wide open space, and hardwood floors. I would have to plug the 12 ins box into the 24 ins box to make this happen. Thus I am looking at around a 100 foot cable run to the drum mics. Is this going to work??? What types of problems will I be facing sending 48V, ect?

My goal is to get a snake specificaly from my patch bay to that room and send it through the walls ect... but I don't have the funds at the moment to make this happen. So until then I am hoping to get by with what I've got.
