I am genuinely curious. I see many mentioning in the thread how the console-simulation of the mixer GUI is brilliant. I just see poor GUI design?
Granted, for someone used to a real console, it's great. But if you're not, aren't more modern interfaces (logic,PT, etc.) more productive since they are more focused and don't give you more controls than you need at one time? Take the channel EQs for example, I find the Logic EQ much more user friendly (although it may not be very good), as it displays the curve and hides the controls until I want to tweak them?
Please elaborate, I want to understand what's so great about the Record approach?
