| Basically when you start a session you save it to your external drive.. From that point on PT will use that drive for the session. You can also go to the Workspace menu (under the Window Menu) and turn the drives you don't want to record onto to Transfer only, that way audio won't record to them. That is:
Window>Workspace, set the other drives to "T"
