| this is a great idea IF your music is properly tagged (which in the case of hawtin, it isn't).
one of the drawbacks to digital dj'ing is keeping tabs on these sorts of things. i saw magda play a few years ago with a notepad file open with her own silly way of describing which track was which.
this would all be solved if people knew how to properly tag their audio files. i am speaking mainly about labels and artists who send promos to big time DJ's like hawtin, who are primarily playing promo/unreleased material. of course purchased music is properly tagged (at beatport, anyway).
unfortunately i don't see this situation changing anytime soon. |
