Some good points here also.

I thought it would be cool to have a display in the club, but with more and more people having free internet on their mobiles, they could check for themselves. I still think the display could be useful though.

Also, having names spelled correctly. I have trouble with people being able to spell my name but I've probably gone too far too change it now.This could definitely help.

I think it would be good for producers to have a resource which collates all the plays of their music so they can see who has been playing it and what their playing, Then it would be easier to see which angle to come at with your music and also which DJs are playing you and therefore having a more effective mailing list.

There are also cons mentioned in the article. Firstly the effect on dubplate culture, but we've covered that here.
The writer also talks about instant promotion but I think that's a good thing. Albeit different to what were used to but the industry needs to progress and embrace digital technology and not be brought to its knees by it as a result of not wanting change.

He also says it would be too hard for PRS to gather the information but I'm sure it would be possible to set up something automatic using the meta data
