So, I was thinking about the Marshall 1922 1x12" cab.

Does anyone have experience with it? Does it work for metal recording? And I can't find what speaker it uses.

Thanks.
depends on what you can find. for metal, i'm not real sure you are going to like the sound of a recorded hybrid style amp. Most of the metalcore bands I get in are using a 5150 or 6505 and it is PERFECT for that style. Had one band with a JCM2000 and it was a little out-of-place.

I would recommend getting something with Vintage 30s. I would skip the 112, and check Craigslist for a cheap 412. I've been seeing Marshall 1960As going for $250.
