The firewire irq is a lowly no. 23 and is also allocated to one of the usb's as well. Not sure if this might make a difference but I am going to investigate. Bob |
Hi Brian and everyone. Fitted the new belkin firewire card (exactly the same chipset as the motherboard!) and it works with no dropouts! Go figure that one! I am not sure what that tells us, but all the research looking for the right motherboard seems to have been a waste of time. My advice to anyone would be to add the firewire with the belkin card and play safe.
