The firewire irq is a lowly no. 23 and is also allocated to one of the usb's as well. Not sure if this might make a difference but I am going to investigate. Bob
Hi Brian and everyone. Fitted the new belkin firewire card (exactly the same chipset as the motherboard!) and it works with no dropouts! Go figure that one! I am not sure what that tells us, but all the research looking for the right motherboard seems to have been a waste of time. My advice to anyone would be to add the firewire with the belkin card and play safe.
