FWIW I can't stop using the ZED pres on my 14, they just sound too good. I wasn't expecting that to be the situation when I first bought the board. I was just looking for a solution that would allow me to get back to mixing OTB instead of ITB (which got to be boring, even with my UAD1 setup). I wanted a board where the pre's would be usable but wasn't even counting on the pre's being so sweet. The EQ has been a huge surprise as well. The range of sweep for the mids was very alluring and had a lot to do with my decision for the ZED14 but I've found the EQ to be extremely txparent, quiet, and exceeding my expectations...eliminating my search for a rackmount EQ for mixing.

In '07 I had the chance to hear a new large console by a major manufacturer/designer that was coming into production phase and I've been wanting to publicly compare the ZED pre's to those of that particular console but won't (for fear of ridicule, LOL). Anyone interested in the ZED line really should audition the model that suits their needs, it's worth it.
