You guys shouldnt be complaining about the move to 64 bit. Change is good!
With 32 bit you can only use like 4 gigs of RAM with an app supposedly including plug-ins. They say that even with huge amounts of ram your machine only uses that much?? You can set certain plugs like Logics sampler and some others to use other dedicated memory, but you are not using near the amount of resources that some of us have on machines.
note: I personally believe that having more ram does speed things up though, from personal experience..
Anyway the new Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leapard will be 64 bit Intel Only and is completely revamped to actually get the juice that you should be getting with 64 bit computers and multi core processors.
Its going to be lightning fast.. awesome, and the fact that this is 64 bit is def a huge plus.
Also Stienberg is probably working with Apple as we speak considering its known fact about the OS update. When snow leopard comes out Cuebase will probably be ready and updated to work with it as long as they get the Beta copies that come out.
Logic needs to Up to 64 bit BAD. My thoughts on that are I think shortly after 10.6 gets released I believe they will come out with a 64 bit Logic that is streamlined for the new OS and will contain the obvious things held out of the last version like "real" elastic audio.
