I had a 1602 for a while, it works well as a live mixer and it did what i needed when it came to recording. If you've got 150 bucks you want to spend on it and not something else go for it, its nice to have a live mixer around just incase you're friends band wants you to pay you to mix them, thats why i kept mine.
i wouldn't recomend using it as your main tracking or mixing console, i do remember there being crosstalk.
