Hi there.

I have been unable to find any precise and informed information about the main differences between high end DACs (for example, a Benchmark DAC1) and consumer level DACs, namely the new release from Creative, the X-Fi PC soundcard.

Apart from the obvious price difference, what features seperates the convertors in each producs ? There must be key elements that suffer in the consumer level product, but i am just unsure as to what they are.

Any information that can be linked, or professional opinion that can be offered is most appreciated !
