its cool.
its far more transparent then ppl think.
it can do color, and can do transparent. its all in the application.

the optical section is used far more then the discrete.
i never switch the xformer matrix away from "nickle"
i never do more then 1dB of GR.
the trick is to hit it so you are using the make up make up gain between 4 and 10. they are in smaller steps between there... much finer control.

its great for mixing tho (which i don't do alot of, but the SHMC is great on many things there)

its not the fastest comp.. but well suited for bus duties.

also, its very fragile and fickle.
shadow hills is quick with fixes to any problems tho
